What happens to the product spec I upload?

We treat all submissions as confidential. Your product spec is only used to generate your tailored insights report and will never be shared externally. All data is handled securely and only retained during the trial period.

What is the Nibblr trial and who can take part?

Nibblr v0.1 is a limited test version of our platform. We are offering 20 free expert reports to UK-based food and beverage brands. It’s first come, first served - once we hit 20, uploads will close. Once the upload is closed, please do get in touch with us at hello@nibblr.co.uk to register your interest for the platform. Our team will then be in touch with more information.

  • Product specifications: If you submit a product specification as part of a Nibblr insight report request, we collect and store that document solely for the purpose of generating and delivering your report. These files may contain product ingredient lists, nutritional targets, or other commercially sensitive data. We treat all submissions as confidential and only use them to provide the requested service during the test period.

2. What do we do with the information we collect, and what is our legal basis for this?

  • Sign-up details: We use your details to provide access to a waitlist and test version of Nibblr, as well as surveys. Our legal basis for collecting and processing your information in this way is your consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, as described in the “Marketing” section below. Our mailing list sign-ups are managed through MailChimp, which complies with GDPR. This ensures that your information is stored and managed in line with privacy regulations. We use submitted product specs to generate a tailored insight report. These are reviewed by our internal team and nutrition expert. We do not share this data outside of Nibblr or use it for any other purpose.
  • Third-party processors: We may use third-party platforms and processors to deliver newsletters, process applications, event registrations, and manage requests related to your data and contact preferences. Our use of third-party processors is based on our legitimate interest in leveraging technology for efficiency. To protect your data, we enter into legally binding agreements with these third parties, requiring them to maintain appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.
  • Feedback and surveys: If you agree to give us feedback directly or complete a survey, we use this information to improve our test version of Nibblr and our related activities.
  • General processing: We may also use your information to analyse and improve our services, customise content to your preferences, notify you of relevant updates, prevent fraud, and protect users.

Whenever possible, we anonymize or minimise the data retained for our business analysis purposes. For all types of information collected, please ensure that the details you provide are accurate and up to date. If you provide information about someone else, please make sure to get their consent first.

3. How long will we keep your information?

  • General principle: We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected. We will securely delete data once it is no longer needed for that purpose.
  • Consent records: We keep records of consent, and any withdrawal of consent, on file for as long as we use your data in line with that consent and for 6 years afterward.
  • Research: Research data will be retained according to Mission Studio’s needs and any external research requirements. Data is reviewed every 5 years to assess its continued value, and wherever possible, data is anonymized or pseudonymized.

4. Marketing

If you sign up for our mailing list, we will use your details to keep you informed about the latest news and information relating to the test version of Nibblr. We may also request feedback, including through our annual audience survey.

MailChimp manages our mailing list and ensures GDPR compliance. We gather statistics on email opens and clicks to monitor and improve our offerings. If you wish to unsubscribe from marketing communications, you can do so at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails.

5. Who else has access to your information?

We may share your information with partners or companies who help us operate this site and related activities. This may include companies that assist with product delivery and other initiatives. Some of these entities may process your information outside the UK; however, we ensure that any transfer of your data is protected by appropriate safeguards.
